Most of my friends know me as a Jane Austen fan. I have read her 6 novels and loved them. At first my favorite was "Pride and Prejudice" but as I read them with a deeper knowledge I feel in love with Fanny Price. Mansfield Park, for me, rises above the rest through the poorer relation rising to favor and prominence through her gentle soul and understanding of goodness. She may not have the brash intellectual wit of Eliza Bennet but Austen crafts another masterpiece.
